Migration Health

I was involved in several NGO-led projects  about rapid need assessment and situational analyses regarding Syrian refugees in Turkey. I also prepared an interim report for WHO on Refugee and Migrant Health based on the experiences with Syrian refugees in Turkey. Please see the “short-term consultancies” for details of the projects.

My expertise in epidemiology, conducting research in difficult and unstable conditions, risk communication and migration health provides a valuable combination for designing and implementing studies and surveys related to migration health. I have published several papers on this topic, one of these studies was conducted both in Turkey and Syria, and was published in American Journal of Public Health (AJPH). Please see “Full publication list” for my relevant papers. I have supervised master and PhD students, who prepared their thesis on migration health.
